about liquid space exhibition

The liquid space exhibition presents a selection of spatial audiovisuals works LAb[au] has been created in collaboration with various artists during the collaborative design cessions called 'liquid space'. The exhibition consists hanging and color-enlightened Plexiglas tables. At first sight, the scenography of the stations appears as a light installation but at closer range it unveils the specific space for the artists' projects. The tables are specifically designed for each of the selected projects, including all necessary and specific hardware interfaces such as microphones, cameras, joysticks, headphones etc..., in order to present these projects within their interactive and perceptive modalities.

Besides the 6 interactive tables the exhibition includes multiple TV screens presenting videos about the concept and context of the liquid space cycles as they present further artist projects in form of videos. Further the liquid space book (the 36 pages) can be presented in form of 60x150cm printed banners adding to the interactive exhibition a documentation part.

In its globality the liquid space exhibition reflects on one of the major themes of the liquid space cycles: the setting of a language and codes in parametric design, and the way we interact and perceive within these digital constructs.
